The X5 SuperSport comes standard with the BT-400 Smart Remote that allows you to easily control your TV's Power button, Volume control and TV input source. Built Inside the X5 SS is our new Buzztv Smart Remote App. With this app you can automatically pair your TV to the BT-400 Smart Remote, turn the backlight on and off and program the four-color keys on the remote for quick access to your favourite apps.
Not only does the X5 SS comes with the BT-400 but you’ll also receive Buzztv new G20 voice remote control!

Buzztv bespoke Home Screen is the main hub that allows you as the customer switch to different layout and an option to add your favourite apps and content to the home screen, allowing the customer to have quick access to all the time. Buzztv are the first to offer this great feature!

The X5 SS incorporates all new triple adonised aluminium red enclosure allowing greater thermal reduction. An elegant natural reflective laser cut edge combined with Buzztv iconic honeycomb print on the top housing with the logo visible at the centre.
The X5 SS incorporates “Dual Dynamic” Wi-Fi antennas that give you blazing fast speeds and reduced buffering. The antennas employ additional power than a traditional internal antenna system to provide 50% greater range to your router. 2T 2R - Dual external antennas now provide 1.5 dB gain which boosts the TX power to the router by 50 percent.
The physical connections on the rear you will find, AV, Ethernet, HDMI, Optical and USB-C Power input. The right side also offers 1x USB 2.0, 1x USB 3.0 and MicroSD Card inputs.
The X5 SS has the new revolutionary BT-400 Smart Remote. The BT-400 coupled with our new “Smart Remote App” will allow you to effortlessly pair the remote directly to your TV, to control Power on and off, TV volume and TV source input. You can set the remote to enable or disable the backlight and custom program the four-color keys as a shortcut to your favourite apps (Hot Keys).
If you have an older TV with HDMI but the TV does not support CEC, the X5 SS can still operate without CEC with our “Retro Connect Technology”. Turn off the CEC settings in the X5 SS. You will know this as the LED on the X5 SS will remain illuminated when you turn off the TV.
To use the BT-400 to turn on and off, volume control and TV source input control the TV needs to be TV source paired to the BT-400 remote. This is part of the initial setup of the Buzztv X5 SS and can also be done from the Buzztv Smart Remote App as well if you choose to change TVs later.
Not all TVs are compatible for TV source pair. If the TV does not support TV source pair, you can still use the X5 SS just use the TV’s actual remote to turn off and on the TV CEC settings in the X5 SS and your TV.
The BT-G20, also known as G20 is one of the latest remote lines by Buzztv for 2024. Featuring Google Voice Assistant, Short Cut keys such as Pluto TV, Google Play, YouTube, and Prime Video. In total a generous 38 buttons keys. The BT-G20 is synced with Buzztv 5 & 6 and works seamlessly, giving you a next level navigation experience.
The BT-G20 offers a certified Google firmware with Google approved colour contrasts. The front housing case is in rock candy colour with a side/base case in dark anthracite.
This remote offers the latest Bluetooth 5.0 BLE and Infrared Default NEC. Using 2 x AAA batteries and dimensions 183mm (H) x 38mm (W) x 17mm (D), weighing 60 grams without batteries.
The X5 SS will migrate from Buzztv 5 to Buzztv 6. The manufacturer will send a firmware update via over the air. The Buzztv 6 will include a new innovative home screen, new features, upgraded user interface and much more! This current listing of the X5 SS presents Buzztv 5 features.

Buzztv are the first to implement ‘favourites’ to their home screen such as Live TV, VOD, TV Series, and a fantastic new Live TV Preview Screen thereby ensuring that you never miss important live content. You can also add favourite apps to the home screen.
Compared to other Android IPTV STB brands, the BuzzTV X5 SS offers much faster navigation scrolling speeds, channel zapping and bespoke features such as hide unwanted channel categories, move channel categories in any order of your choice. Add channels to your favourite folder/category.
We also offer Multi-Screen Option Design allowing you to enjoy the luxury of switching to 3 different home screens of your liking, giving you the very best user experience possible.
Buzztv developed the Back up and Restore option to allow you to save your custom settings, favourite channels, VOD and TV series listings and categories groups as well as servers. You can restore the back up on any buzztv android device running Buzztv 5!
